You will be an essential part of our sales team and, together with your colleagues, ensure that our products find their way to garden centres, DIY stores and supermarkets throughout Europe.

De Jong Plant is an ambitious family business based in Boskoop, specialising in the cultivation of garden hydrangeas. With a strong focus on innovation, automation and sustainability, we produce a complete range: from cuttings to ready-to-sell end products. We have branches in Boskoop, Stompwijk and Berkel en Rodenrijs. Together with a team of enthusiastic colleagues, we work on growing and trading top-quality hydrangeas, with a focus on people and nature.

What will you do?

In this varied and commercial role at our Boskoop site, you will be responsible for:

• Customer contact & hospitality: You will be the point of contact for customers, answering queries and welcoming business contacts on site.

• Commercial administration: You will prepare quotations and contribute to seamless order processing.

• Relationship management: You will maintain existing contacts, establish new relationships and make regular customer visits.

• Teamwork: You will liaise closely with your colleagues in sales and production to ensure the best quality and service.

 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a new full-time colleague to join our sales team who:

• Is commercially minded and customer-focused: you have a commercial understanding and advise customers in a professional manner. Experience in the sector is an advantage, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are just as important.

• Works in an organised and structured manner: you work accurately, maintain an overview and stay calm during busy periods.

• Has strong communication skills: you are fluent in Dutch and German; speaking and writing English is an advantage.

• Is digitally proficient: experience with Floriday, Excel and ERP systems is a plus.

• Flexible: you don’t have a 9-to-5 mentality and are happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in, alongside your colleagues.

• A team player: you are enthusiastic and contribute to a positive working atmosphere.
